CLASSES:  Pleasure Ride 6,12,or 15 miles (12 mile route to ride 6 miles route twice). Optional show jumps close to venue for all riders. (PR)

FACILITIES: Toilets & water available on the venue. Catering Van

CAMPING & CORRALLING: Camping & Corralling - £5 per horse, £5 per person, at venue Saturday evening. Please book on camping listing.

RIDE DETAILS: This is a varied ride - the 6 mile route is across fields of which some run by a river, it is very tranquil, lots of opportunities to canter. The route then splits you can either return back to the venue or venture out on the 15 mile route. This takes in country lanes, quiet villages and tracks. Planes, trains and automobiles comes to mind as you may see it all. On this longer route you will ride over a bridge with the M1 underneath you (bridge has high sides like at swingate) you will ride on a service road which runs parallel with the A50 for about 200 yards, you ride under the A50 where the tunnel is wide and high, you may encounter the freight train as the track runs next to a field you ride across. To top it all off you may see planes at the airport and the path runs alongside the perimeter of EMA. This is a nice ride and well worth the extra distance of 15M. However the 15 mile may not be suitable for horses nervous of traffic - for them stick to the 6 mile or ride it twice for 12 miles.
