Please could all riders make a note in the comments box when booking if they are sharing a lift and who with or if they will travelling alone. There is limited parking and this info is vital as it may allow opening the ride to more members

VENUE: Carsington water, Millfields car park, Big Lane, Ashbourne DE6 3JL. This is not the main car park, it is a smaller tarmac carpark on the south side of the reservoir.

ENTRY FEES: Pleasure Ride – Sport Endurance member £18.00, Non-member £23 (if space allows)

This is a members priority ride and open as early booking for members only. If space allows, we will open the ride to non members 2 weeks before the ride

 

 

START TIMES: Start any time between 9.30am and 11.00. Those doing the longer mileage out by 10.00am and everyone back by 1.30pm please

CLASS/DISTANCE: Pleasure Ride (PR) 8 or 16 (8 twice) miles

                            Not suitable for Lead Rein.

VENUE TYPE: Hard standing car park. Please clean up after yourself and your horse.

FACILITIES: Toilets available in car park.  Café at the visitors centre approx two 3rds of the way round

VACCINATIONS: The Sport Endurance minimum requirement is either an annual booster within the last 12 months or the first two vaccinations of a new programme.  Horses must be at least 4 years of age. By booking this ride you are confirming that your horse will have adequate vaccination on the day of the ride.

RIDE DETAILS: Taking in the Stunning derbyshire scenery that sorrounds one of the uk’s biggest resevoirs and a wildlife haven for a multitude of birdlife and Otters.  Mostly surfaced paths with some grass verges on multi user trails. A small amount of  road work, on a very quiet road. There will be a small ford to cross, or alterantively use the bridge
